Keating’s Rope and Anchor Bar + Kitchen, a nautical influenced restaurant, proudly serves refreshing contemporary American cuisine with an emphasis on sustainable seafood flair.  Located with breathtaking views along the Delaware River, it’s culinary craftsmanship creates an intimate entry into people’s lives, the local environment, and the heritage of Penn’s Landing.

Keating’s Rope and Anchor Bar + Kitchen focuses on creating an exciting approach to rich seafood, memorable times and welcoming hospitality.  It’s refined menus and signature dishes stimulates and awakens senses through locally sourced fresh and flavorful produce, refreshing harbor side sustainable seafood, and farm raised meats.

The menu, created by Executive Chef George Gilfesis, features signature menu items to satisfy the quick casual traveler, the professional business sit down, or summertime relaxation on its spectacular patio.  Culinary meals spark dynamic flavors during business meetings; such as the Firecracker Shrimp with grilled jumbo shrimp and sweet thai-cilantro glaze for dipping, or the Grilled Swordfish mainline steak with lemon balm chiffonade and mango salsa, to a casual business traveler enjoying apple bourbon pulled pork sliders with jicama slaw or hand battered fish and chips with Atlantic cod, Chile wedge potatoes, malt vinegar and lemon aioli.

In addition to this, the relationship to Philadelphia food and the community is closely intertwined and is evident through creative and authentic balances.  Enjoy comfort classics that feature reinventions such as Philadelphia Cheesesteak eggrolls, or local “Yard Guys Brewery” married into the house made cheddar ale being served on signature burgers.

For those looking for something lighter and healthier, there is no sacrifice in the flavors with amazing seasonal salad such as the Quinoa salad featuring baby spinach, arugula, green onion, strawberry, blueberry, feta cheese with citrus dressing, or the Farmer’s Market salad with watercress leaf, granny smith apple, glazed pecan, poppy seed lemon oil complimented with goat cheese fritters.

The ideal spot for an informal and friendly dining experience to simply unwind, Keating’s Rope and Anchor Bar + Kitchen combines their refreshing cuisine with curated cocktails that are focused on keeping you cool while on the ample outdoor patio during a warm summer day or it’s waterfront wrap around bar with views of the river and the USS New Jersey.  Throughout the beverage menu, delicate hints of citrus, herbs, and zests combine to bring together a well-balanced artisan crafted cocktail.  Signature cocktails include house crafted sangrias to St. Germain Elderflower mimosas.  The bar also will also offer a wide variety of spirits, such as its Anchor’s Down with Grand Marnier, angostura, lime and ginger beer.  Ten drafts beers are available with selections featuring local craft beers, ale and lagers.

Keating’s crew will be serving both inside and on the patio that connects to the famous Spruce Street Harbor.  The crew will be outfitted in maritime appeals with shades of navy blue and khaki along with boat shoes.  China patterns offer a playful character with curvy forms to represent waves and drifts of its waterfront.

Keating’s Rope and Anchor Bar + Kitchen, launching a “Summer in the Series” promotion will become the well known highlight of the famous Penn’s Landing walkway, hosting live entertainment on the waterfront, and themed celebration evenings.  Traffic goers will be sure to stop for fresh and flavorful cocktail specialties on their waterfront adventure.
