“We really wanted to create a spectacular, show-stopping, visually stunning, first-class feast that would be well-received by the young as well as the young-at-heart,” explained Executive Chef, George Gilfesis, “Kiddos are always welcome here as we pride ourselves on being very family-friendly. We’re really excited to see their eyes widen when they scan our dessert station, complete with a tower of cupcakes, Cannolis, chocolate eggs, jelly beans, Peeps and other nostalgic Easter candies. Children also have their own kid-approved buffet featuring favorites such as Rope & Anchor creamy homemade macaroni and cheese, mini beef hotdogs and crispy chicken nuggets,” he added.

Locally sourced, seasonal ingredients are an integral part of this epic celebration. Expect beautifully prepared, brunchy classics as well as seafood-inspired, palette-pleasing surprises all worthy of Instagram closeups.

“Rope & Anchor has been attracting many area locals and serious Philly Foodies as it’s considered among neighbors to be a relaxed riverside respite for happy hour or any hour. Our contemporary, American cuisine is emphasized by sustainable seafood selections which give a nod to the exuberant Delaware River Waterfront that truly comes alive during the summer and spring seasons. I’m really excited to be offering a delectable raw bar this year as part of this epic buffet,” said Alan Cagle, General Manager and Director of Food and Beverage, “In addition to a complimentary glass of toasting champagne, I’m sure our guests will delight in our handcrafted cocktails like our Jupiter Germain Mimosa or our Peppered Bacon Bloody Mary,” he added.

In addition to that raw bar (think fresh, Janos Crab Claws, Poached Shrimp, New Zealand Mussels and smoked Atlantic Salmon), other choices abound. Chef-attended omelets made-to-order will likely be a crowd-pleaser as well as Classic Eggs Benedict and other early morning sweets and treats. Stand-out buffet items include Mahi-Mahi with Pineapple Salsa and an elegant chef’s carving station serving sliced Fleur De Lis Ham with homemade cheddar biscuits and assorted artisan mustards. Other inventive spring salads and fresh, savory side dishes round out visually arresting opulent offerings. To view our entire Easter Brunch Menu, click here.
